Learn more about Goldendoodles
Because Teacup Goldendoodles and Micro Goldendoodles are smaller than the full size Golden Retriever or Poodle we'd like to break down our doodle sizing for you. Golden Retrievers are estimated to be between 40-100 lbs fully grown; so when we breed a Golden retriever with a toy poodle that's only 5 lbs, the puppies are usually smaller.
Our Teacup Goldendoodle puppies are estimated to be between 7 lbs & 15 lbs fully grown; while our Micro Cavapoos are estimated to be between 5 lbs & 10 lbs fully grown. It takes several generations to get puppies from a 50 lb Golden Retriever down to a 5 or 10 lb Teacup Goldendoodle.

Golden Doodle Coat Types
Teacup and Micro Goldendoodles have varying coat types including straighter coats, curly fleece coats, or somewhere in between with fluffy soft coats. Generally speaking a curlier coat is less likely to shed although that's not always true, but with smaller puppies like our Micro or Teacup Goldendoodles they have a higher percentage of poodle making them even more hypoallergenic.
Golden Doodle Generations
A Golden Retriever bred with a poodle is a first generation Goldendoodle or an F1 Goldendoodle. When that goldendoodle is bred with a parent breed (either a Golden Retriever or a poodle) they're considered F1B's with 75% Poodle & 25% Golden Retriever. If you breed an F1B Goldendoodle with a poodle you'll get F1BB's with roughly 87.5% Poodle and 12.5% Golden Retriever. If you have allergies and you need a puppy that's hypoallergenic I recommend an F1B or F1BB.
Golden Doodle Sizing
Goldendoodle puppies range in size from 5 lbs as Micro Goldendoodles to 75+ lb Standard Goldendoodles. Because Poodles are both big as Standard sized poodles, and small as Toy Poodles you're able to get a variety of sizes in Goldendoodles or other Doodles. To get Micro or Teacup Goldendoodles we breed with Toy or Micro Poodles to lower the size range. We estimate sizes based on both the parents weights and the median between the two parents weights.
